| Occasionally wildlife habitat is lost when forested land is converted to other uses. Bennett timberlands are never converted to other uses. Wildlife habitat can be enhanced through maintaining nesting sites and restricting vehicle access. Most Bennett timberlands have vehicle restrictions to protect wildlife and water quality. Nesting sites have been maintained by protecting snags, building ponds and maintaining nesting boxes for bluebirds. |
